ARMY AIR BASE POCATELLO, IDAHO Oct. 28, 1943 Pocatello, Idaho Dear Dad, Mom & Grandma: Mailed you a copy of the anniversary "Bombardier" today, hope you get it tho it isnt so interesting perhaps. It is much larger than usual, only four pages generally. You can find little Johnnys name in it so perhaps there will be one fellow you know. Rained again today but cleared about noon so we pre-flighted the ships and they flew a couple of hours and then it began to rain again. We had a twenty seven ship formation flight today which looked pretty good. Sure means a lot of money when that many bombers go over head and compare that to some of the raids staged over across. So you have Till with you again I'll bet she misses my teasing doesnt she. Say hello for me, would like to be home & get in a little razzing. Should have liked to have seen Bob Hieserman & Buck Schraeder and gone squirrel hunting with them. Perhaps I couldnt hit a squirrel either.
