June 13 1918 Dear Mother, I think this will be a good day to write to you, as it is the 13th and am sure it will reach you OK. I miss the good things you, and all usto send, but you can bet a good reason for not to be able to send packages. There is no kick, anything is far in time of war, in the present war at least. Iam glad you told Pokey, he couldnt have any more of my letters. There is nothing in it only a balling from some of the would be Americans. [Illegible] ill ask you to tell him no. We got a new guns, and Gas masks, and are anxious to try them on Mr Hun. If thell just give us a chance. When we came here we were leased to the French government for 1 year
