Americans over here, I just wish I had a dollar for every one over that, [illegible] sure I could set easy the rest of my life. I havent been very near to any of the big battles so far, but it may brake out on this front any time, its just like Small Pox . From one of your letters you wrote lately I don't beleave you have any idea where I am at. And I think its best you don't. Don't you? Ever since ive been here, ive been looking around trying to find some place that looks like home, but my hopes have all been in vain, you cant even find a house in this neck of the woods, the whole town is built in [one peace?]. I am hoping next winter will find us in USA. Must close and go to the barracks. Lots of love to all your Son Francis
