June 21 1918 Dear Mother, I received another letter from [Royce?] Briggs, he says the bunch is fine. They are in a good line of service. He says hes in the war zone, but I dont think he is in the line of advance. You know Paris is in the war zone now. Now what do you say for the Italians, there not so slow after all. The Russians may play an important part yet. No use kicken a fellow just because hes down, and out even if they don't come pack
