Jan. 11, 1943 Pocatello, Idaho Dear Dad & Mom: Got your box of candy today, golly it was good, thanks a lot, also got a box from the gang at the lumber yard. Must have been a Christmas package, had a tooth brush tooth paste, shaving cream and a nice box of chocolates. Stays cold here nights about 10 to 15 below and warms up to perhaps 10 or 15 above in the middle of the day. Sure arent getting in much flying time but there is lots of work on the planes brought on by the weather. Had to work till quite late last night. Boy I hope we move out of here pretty soon. Am listening to F.O.R. at least the radio is turned to where he is speaking anyhow he is disrupting my writing Got that cartoon book of the "Mountain Boys" today. Had seen most of them but some were new to me, it was a folder with about sixteen cartoons in it. All the fellows have looked at [Bev.?] Bills scrap books.
