This is the prettiest country I ever saw. Ate dinner at Birmingham England at 245 P.M. arrived at Bordon training camp at 800 P.M. Sleep in squad tents it stayed light till almost 10 P.M. Went to Y. wrote mother a letter, came back couldn't find tent. after looking for 1 hr found it. August 13 Got our first instruction how to wear a gas mask. August 14 Rain all day its the end of a lonesome day August 15 Parade through London had a swell time. August 16
