Dec. 15, 1943 Pocatello, Idaho Dear Dad + Mom: Another good day outside, but cold in here it's about the same. Feel okay but still cough and my throat tickles a little I'm really all right tho won't be in here much longer. One of my buddies was here to see me last night, seemed good to have a visitor. He is that great big fellow I've mentioned 6'6" + 240 lbs he will get a furlough soon which he is looking forward to he lives in Buhl Idaho and can get home in about four hours. I'm really getting a rest cure, don't know when I ever slept so much, nap in the morning & afternoon & sleep all night. I'll be so lazy ill never want to do anything again. I've read a lot too but mostly junk, mystery, westerns + magazine articles. The train I came home on is just
