Dec. 20, 1943 Pocatello, Idaho Dear Dad & Mom: Was supposed to get out of here today but yesterday I ran a tempeature so they wouldnt let me out. Perhaps tomorrow Ill get out. Got two V-mail letters from Bob today, was mighty glad to hear from him, it was really two parts of one letter, dont think things are too pleasant where he is but he wasnt complaining. Hope I do get out tommorrow so I can send a money order home. Mother I want you to get that new glass bowl that Ruth Webb Lee is puting out. You can order it & Ill have the money there soon. If that picture Ernie took is anything you want get it put in the kind of you frame you like & Ill pay for it. Dad I dont know what you would like and
