Saving...
2. would run out of them sometime. The test today is defense against gas attack, and as the writing of this letter I have my gas mask on, but am about to "Test for gas and take it off." Our weather down here has been very hot for the last three weeks and all of the formens are glas of it, because we too had our shove of rain and floods. When you walk up to a [illegible] of dawn here with the sweat streaming off your face and say something about the weather they just laugh and say, "Ya suh, but it sho' will make the cotton grow." Yesterday was "D" day and the radios were going all the time, but strangely enough you don't hear the fellows talking about it much. I guess all we are interested in is getting the war over and getting back home. Thanks. again. Dave. I'll keep you informed of my address. Hello to all the Journal gang. Very truly yours, Jack Gibson
