Saving...
Tuesday June 13 Dear Dave, I have received three of your papers in the last few days so I decided I must let you know how much I appreciate them. We are a long way from home over here and it doesn't take long to lose contact with the events happening in the home town. Our folks can't give us all the information simply because even they probably don't know it. Especially hard to keep up with are the fellows we knew who are now in the armed forces. Believe me they certainly can get away fast. Your little paper is certainly a help in keeping up on things. I wonder just how many Washington fellows will be able to say that they have been in the invasion of Europe? In a way I sometimes wish I were in on it over there but when I think of the tough time they are having there and have had in Italy, I just decide I am much better off where I am.
