Hi Dave, [June 26?1944] New [Guinea?] Just got the May 26th addition (or day) of the Scuttlebutt. And I wish it were true what you wrote about [illegible] and the C 47's And the hundred [hrs?] a month. Best [illegible] happen to be in New Guinea, working like a horse and getting almost the same kind of chow and quarters. [Qt's?] hot as [h.?] here and plenty of room. I guess you know all about that. As yet I'm not assigned to a perminate outfit but have hope of getting into one soon. Dave I think your doing a bang-up job with these Scuttlebutt and I only wish I were there to thank you And How!! But we'll just keep on sweating it out, out here and then come home and let you feed us. My [illegible] [illegible] that is getting out. Thanks alot. [illegible] [llegible] Bill. (Pvt. W.R. Arnold)
