Saving...
27 June 1944 Dear Dave: Well I'm slow in getting around to thanking you for "Scuttlebutt" I know but they have been keeping us pretty busy over here. I enjoy it very much and it has been coming through good. It's great to get the latest [dufee?] from home and know what is going on with some of the other fellows. I don't there's any use in trying to tell you all that we've done and what we've seen. A person could never begin to describe it or tell how and what he felt and thought. I hope you have better luck getting news out of some of the other fellows. Things are going pretty good with us and in a gruesome sort of way we are having a pretty good time. I'll sure be glad to get back and take a nice little rest. Excuse the new pen but this is the 28th now so with a new day, a new pen. You never get anything done when you start it these days. At least not for yourself. I guess I had better close this since there isn't any news in it anyway. Thanks again for "Scuttlebutt" and I hope you are able to keep it coming. Sincerely yours, Kenny [Dunwoody?] Y 2/c
