in the audience room of St. Peters and was greatly [inspired?] with him. He is a man of [illegible] personality and has a marvellous [delivery?]. The Colliseum, the Forum, and the Pantheon with its six perfect monoliths, the Obelisk and so many other famous places were well worth seeing. I passed by Mussolini's favority balcony a dozen times before I recognized it. The piazza, or whatever it is called, is now a [illegible] lot. The people of room are health-looking, but must be hungry as most of these liberated countries. Well, nothing more of importance so will close for now.
