July 11, 1944 Dear Dave, Well at long last I have an address. While I was at Lincoln I was told not to send out my address because I would be there such a short time. As a result my copy of the "Scuttlebutt" was going down to Texas and back to Nebraska. Sorry I didn't get to stop and see you while I was home. There were several people to see and things I wanted to do but time ran out and I missed them. Here in Pueblo I am to get my training with a crew. I have met all the enlisted men on my crew but as yet haven't seen the officers. Today, we are all getting "processed." At every new field we get processed which means our records are gone over and we are given another physical. Well, I have to go over and take a couple of shots for Cholera and typhus now so I will have to close. I thought that I
