If Don Bayer even gets fed up with wet rainy weather I suggest that he place a trip to [illegible]. I am wondering how many Washington country boys took part in the invasion of Europe. Well keep up the good work Dave. Understand there is [illegible] effort in Washington County to stop poker. How does this effect the old bunch. This month I trippled my pay envelope. Some of these privates down here are going to have nice [illegible] before the war is over. As ever Dick Johnston [Pvt. Richard R. Johnston]
