Dear Dave (+ the rest of the Y's Men) Just a routine report on [illegible] today. Have been laid up here for the last two months with a rather mild malady by the [illegible] of [illegible], sciactic - of the night [illegible] I'm finishing up some now so I guess I'll live. Really, I'm very lucky compared to some of the poor devils you see around here. (I can hobble to the head pretty well now) I got my last Scuttlebutt from just about a month ago + they were dated around the middle of May, I think they have been sent to the ship + so followed it around the Pacific + finally were forwarded to me. I got a big kick out of them + again want to thank you, Dave, the [illegible] for working on it. [Illegible] [illegible] it. I have been wondering if its been discontinued or don't you have my address? I mailed a directive when I first got here $ the wife + [illegible] write wire, etc + you my new location. Have been spending my time catching up on my [illegible] literature [illegible] Queen, Mason, Sir Henry [illegible] its so you need not worry about my mind.
