Saving...
a 3 day boxing tournament was staged promoted by the Y and assisted by the other organizations. We had 49 entries all told including exhibitions both wrestling & boxing. The enthusiasm was high and response most gratifying. A 1 1/2 road race was schedule for 2 January but due to military operations this was called off. On the closing date for entries we had over 30 participants lined up. Since then we have operated from cottages, crypts, stables, shore houses, cafe's and now have a couple of tents & a 3 ton lorrie. It is without a doubt marvellous how one can readjust himself to the mud & what else after the cozy firesides of England. This is April & the woods of the post remain -"Oh to be in England now that April is here". It's a great place anytime of the year. So for this time thanks again Sincerely Y'sly Earle Diehl
