Saving...
21 Aug 44 China Dear Dave, Your nineteenth drip just dropped in and glad was I to receive it. Golly, these Washingtonians are really scattered in every direction. I'm going to be seeing Franny Haney soon I hope. Those boys are really island skippers, believe me. I have a kid brother who was with Haney's gang but no one has heard from him. Dave, under separate cover, please send me "Whizzer" White's address. I see he finds the hospital in the New Hebrides running more smoothly since the feminine touch has been added. That boy will bear watching Dave. I've also lost contact with Dan Boyer. Can you fix this up too? I have met an old Army friend of Walter Connor's who'd like to get in touch with him. Can you fix him up? Keep your eyes on this theatre and watch Haney's gang and our crew pull a squeeze play in the next time at bat. Best regards to Mabel and my friends on the corner. Sincerely Johnny Lee
