Oct. 8-44 Mr. Elder, I have sure enjoyed your editions of "Scuttlebutt". Three months ago I wouldn't have known the meaning of the word. I received my 2nd edition, your 28th today. I had put off writing until I found out where I was headed for next. I don't know yet what the address will be but I have been selected for school (Basic Eng.), it might be either here or some where else. It's pretty hard to tell but I will let you know just as soon as I find out. This paper of yours has certainly helped to refresh my memory of high school and all my school mates, of the group I seem to have been among the last to enter the service. We have a fine group of fellows and get along swell. I sort of hate to see the group
