Saving...
Clinton, Ont. 17 Oct. 1944 Dear David R.:- A long time ago I promised you a letter if & when there was anything to write you about, so tonight "I take pen in hand" and this is it. First of all I'd better admit my selfish motives. I thoroughly enjoy your "Scuttlebutt" each week and want to make sure you have my new address, but then I suppose you receive dozens of these left-handed compliments each week so one more won't make much difference. Seriously, though, Dave, I look forward to this little news letter each week & just like all the rest of the guys & gals have said before - I think you & all the rest of your able staff are doing a swell job! I really don't know how much to tell you about my mission to Canada for I seriously think it would cause a lot of ill will and a lowering of morale all around if you printed anything about it. It's that good a deal! Picture this: I'm 150
