10/18/44 England Dear Mr. Elder Just received Scuttlebutt the 27th or 28th Drip. I am very glad to receive them and happy to be one of the new ones on your mailing list. It keeps me up on the news of the boys and girls at home. I hadn't lived there long when I left and didn't know too many of the fellows but it is interesting to know where the boys from home are. I got two editions close together because the mail got backed up and I am just now got it all through. We had to bail
