A/c [Wm] K. Maas Aviation Cadet Regiment U.S.N.A.T.B. Corpus Christi, Texas Wednesday Eve 1750 P.M. [Nov. 1, 1944] Dear Mike, Arrived here with everything well in hand. Monday Noon. Have looked the base over considerably & like it very much so far. All we have had so far is a few indoctrination speeches & physicals etc. I already have a sunburn & really sweat my clothes through during the middle of the day. It cools off considerably at night though. I talked to Dave Livingston over the phone & am going to see him tomorrow night. We start flying 450 H.P. Vultee Trainers Monday of next week. I just thought I'd see if you could send me the "scuttlebut". Write me too & tell me about the cost etc. Your old Pal Bill
