Nov 4, 1944 Dear Dave, Just a note to tell you that Scuttlebut is still being received and read with a great deal of Interest Am particularly interested in that item about the chickens you sold Milo, as I have been getting some very glowing reports on the fruitful productivity of those hens although frankly a year in the army has almost spoiled my appetite for eggs of any form – even fresh or well prepared - for a change. Incidentally while on the line of food, am sending my compliments enclosed under separate cover I don’t suppose you realized that we too in this country get these things once in a great while, and while I want you to give that steak
