Dear Dave,
I rec'd your v-mail giving me the addresses I asked for. Thanks a lot. 
I rec'd the Scuttlebut telling about the tall corn before I got the one with the picture in it. I guess the one with the picture in it got delayed a little.
I had a shower bath the other day. and that is news. But the sad part of it was after returning to my area I had to hit a fox-hole & got all dirty again.  But such is life in the army.
It is raining again to-day and quite chilly, and from all reports we are in for a lot more of it.
As I write this letter I take a nip of ceeb, cider to you.  We buy it from a farmer across the 3rd hedgerow.
It is fair and the French have a lot of it. They drink it all the time since the water isn't fit to drink. I like it too for a change from our water because ours is like drinking from the "Y" pool. A good drink of Washington water would be a rare treat I assure you.
