Nov 10, 1944 Dear Friend. I've been wanting to write and tell you how much I enjoy the Scuttlebutt. Im receiving it quite regular and its interesting to know just whats happening back in the home town. I've seen lot of sights and had some interesting experiences since Ive been over here. I think the French people are very nice although Im having quite a time catching on to their language. Ive learned a few words but its slow work. If you think it rains back there you should be here. I believe it has rained two thirds of the time in the three months weve been over here! We have a pretty good set up here but I don't like the people here
