are about (3/4) three fourths of them are the Vallandingham kind of Union men and that's not all they have arrested and got in prison about one hundred & fifty (150) of our Union men nereby because some of them was Jayhawkers but the Jay hawk part I don't care for them for they robed every body that had good property now boys I once wrote you my sentiments on the Jay hawk subject. I am in for our government taking property and putting to government purposes but I am not in for Individual Jay hawking where they cram their own pockets and tell Uncle Sam he don't get it for the risked their lives for it and they are a going to keep it. I see in my last paper where our noble friend Bill Robuck has been a sustaining our noble country, flag and has been wounded I feel sorry for Bill I hope he is not a dangerous (wounded?) I think there nothing so honorable as to fight for that old flag which bears the Stars and Stripes and I think there is nothing so noble as to fall beneath its folds but I want
