Saving...
May 29th, 1865 Montgomery Ala Dear Sister Hen As you have not wrote to us in a great while I thought I would enlighten your on our whereabouts. I got a letter from you and Hen today for the first since we left Spanish FL. We are all in good health at present and I hope this will find you and yours as it leaves us. We are not mustered out yet and I see no hopes to be until fall or winter to tell the truth. I am in no hurry now for if we was at home I expect you would want us to go to work and we have a decided relish for doing nothing and I expect - I am making $18 per month easier than I could or would if I was at home. And then the fruit is just beginning to get ripe here you can buy blackberries
