out of the three Regiments Every man in our compamy voted for Stone not a man changed his ticket all voted for state & county officers that was on the ticket there was no electionering done here every soldier had his mind made up I must tell you what John Pruett done he cut Stones name out & where the ticket says union war ticket he cut the war out he said he would not vote for war & Stone was a war man & he would not vote for him. We could not reason him out of it that show what sense the dam fool has he is about as sharp as the rest of them fellows up there that lived by him I think some of them copperhead will mourn over the election I dont know how the county officers will come out I am more interested in that those the state officers for I know they will be elected & I
