you hired Harley than Garland Knight. He is a good fellow but hasn't too much on the ball. In school he was always kind of thick in the head. Got another new pair of shoes today and they are extra good ones I think, seem like softer leather than the old ones I had. The army shoes fit me fine and my feet have never bothered me at all. My hands are chapped as the dickens I must put some camphor ice on them tonight this old rain weather kind of made them sore, and crack open. Nothing to write about so I will close for tonight.
