Philippines 4 Feb. 45 Dear Dave, Received the 43rd drip to-day. Have been getting them quite regular and enjoy them very much. Am sorry I haven't written sooner, two reasons, 1st I feel I should write to show my appreciation for Scuttlebutt. & 2nd my APO has changed & they are slow arriving (APO 235) Have done nothing but rest for the last two weeks, and believe it or not, but I'm tired of it. Life in the Philippines is much better now. The natives are cleaning up & making clothes in mass production. Thanks to the paratroops for the fine material. We have movies about every night, which is the only recreation we have, except swimming. We have a nice beech here, better than Hawaii, except for the bars & Hula shows. Am sorry I can't share my Scuttlebutt, wish there was someone from Home to pass it on to.
