Enjoyed Matt Redlinger's story about the Inf. I agree with him 100 per cent. Its the same thing here. I learned how important the Inf was in my first landing. I was in the first wave to land. Went inland about 400 yards & waited for the Inf. What I mean is they sure were welcome. It didn't take them long to move up and give us protection. Have made 7 landings now & they were all the same except 1, & that time the Inf went first. Of course when we started getting bombed quite a bit the air corp was just as welcome. Our fighters done a nice job. As far as I know I'm the only Washington man in the amph. tanks, So I'll give you an idea of what it is. It is a tank that goes on bothe land & water. (The censor says I can only tell of my personall experiences so don't think I'm bragging when I use the word "I" all the time). First I assaulted the beech, and after that any thing can happen. Everyone has a job for us. If they need art. before the big guns get in, we go into position & give art. support. If they want
