Saving...
February 17, 1945 Dear Dave, I received your "Scuttlebutt" paper, and I must say, it's quite a paper. I received a letter from my Mother about a day or two after I received your paper, saying that she had you send it to me. It's interesting to know where the different fellows are stationed. I received a letter from Bob Clark the other day saying that he was somewhere near Paris. I sounded to me, as though, he might be right in Paris. If I'm lucky enough, I may see him in the future. I was "sweating out" some 88s this morning! Along with about 8 other fellows. Everything's under control, now. I am now receiving Combat Expert Infantryman's Pay. Comes in handy, to send home, of course. Well, so long Dave, and tell everyone around, hello. Roger Banks
