To Mr. Dave Elder Washington, Iowa From 37669891 Pfc. Harrison Knott 230th Gen. Hosp APO 176011 N.C.M. New York, N.Y. March 1, 1945 France Dear Dave, I finally received Feb. 2 Scuttlebutt after about 2 months of not getting any. Maybe they will catch up tho later on. As you can see I finally got overseas after some 20 months of being shoved around in the states. Being in a General Hospital I'm not in a combat zone, but have a good chance at seeing what destruction their has been, in this country, and its plenty. I expect Germany will look a lot worse when there [illegible] with [illegible]. Saw my brother at my P.O.C. just before he left for over here. Haven't run into him yet here but have hopes. Please send Scuttlebutts to this address, from now on. As Ever, [Mr?] Knott
