1030 W 2nd St Des Moines January 20th 1918 My dear Mrs. Whitley, Thanks for your letter with suggestions. I had already written to Mrs. Henry Taylor and she had accepted. I will try to have her find good assistants in Oskaloosa and Ottumwa. I have just written to Mrs. Mc Murray of Oiliveiro. I hope she will be our committee member from the South District. I enclose a list and you will see that I yet have the Third and Eighth Districts unrepresented, and some names you suggested would be in districts already represented. Perhaps you have heard that as a result of the recent visit of some of the men of our State Council of Defense - Illinois, Ohio and Indiana we shall probably have three new state employment bureaus established at Davenport, Waterloo and Sioux City - and the one here in Des M .enlarged and improved. The four will be under the care of Mr. Wick on Con. of Labor and Mr. Wick says these will take care of women and girls, as well as men, for any occupations. Mr. Wick
