all away on their vacations and the teachers and superintendents were away. I put up the poster sent me and at our County Fair had a Recruiting Station. I had some [printing?] muslin with this = U.S. Nurse Reserve Recruiting Station on the out side of the building also one over the table inside where we were located. Some of my county officers were in charge all the time. I was there a great deal myself. We had lots in to inquire and some signed up. Our county has very recently send quite a number of girls to take the nurses to training, but then had signed up for some hospital before this call came.What is Shelby Co.'s quote? We are not a large county and Harlan is the largest town (population 3000). I never have seen our quote stated. Only that Iowa's quote was 1050. Do I send my applications to you or to Mrs. [Fintsbire?] of Des Moines? We have several now who have signed but all have not
