returned their [blanks?]. I have a number of others on the list that I have not heard definitively from. In the fair I had a large sign Council of Defense Women's Committee, there had posters of the Food Conservation work, Child Welfare work and the Nurse Reserves. Then our Home Demonstration Agent had a very fine display and exhibit in another place. We have 17 units in the county and I am very well pleased at the increased interest taken by them, I hope we may be able to do what is expected of us to your satisfaction. Sometimes we are a little slow but we hope to do our work that is expected of us. I wish I might tell you of the work I did this summer in trying to establish a [community?] drying plant. I went to Ames, had Prof. Cunningham give us a lecture here. Had a construction committee from the Community Club but it took so long to get information, then to get our engineer, then our dry weather -over-
