April 22 - 1918 Mrs. Francis E. Whitley, Webster City, La. My dear Mrs. Whitby: Your letter received and will say I have sent ___ of the campaign (a sample copy being sent __ by the Iowa Child Welfare Research Station) to the nine papers in the county also thirty duplicate letters telling of the work and my plan of conducting it, to my Township and Town Chairman. This county, according to word received from Miss Neale S. Knowles of ___, is the first county organized in the state into smaller "units" before a Home Demonstration Agent was located. I am using my present organization for carrying on this Child Welfare work also. I suppose what plan is used is nonessential. Results are what are wanted. I am anxious to become better posted in order to be able to give information. I have written for leaflets. Miss Whitley I must confess ignorance in regard to my appointment. Mrs. Chas Nelson's name was sent you for Taylor Co. Chairman of the ___ of the Council of M.D.
