My Dear Mrs Whitley, I am going to play "hookey" for a little while and run clear away from it all. My plan is to leave for California next Tuesday the 23rd and remain until the middle of Sept. My only sister is there and I want so to see her and my mam. May I go? I am trying to leave things in good terms with the chairmen. Have been worried because my Lome (?) county chairman of Warren is soon to leave for a new home else where and I've had a real worry in finding her successor. Fortune has favored me and I have a most ef- ficient woman in her place: Mrs. C. W. Honnold, Indianola, Warren Co, Chairman instead of Mrs. M. M. Cheshire. My special child-welfare Warren Co. ch. is in California with her
