Saving...
Sept 26 My Dear Mrs. Whitley: I am enclosing a letter I received from Mrs. Myers. Was a little disappointed and I am at my wits end about Adair as I do not know the women in that county. If I knew the man's name who is the Adair member of the [illegible] counsel I might write him however I will try to find out. Pottawatomie County is well organized and the [canvas?] well on the road to completion. Cass Co is [illegible] their [canvas?] this week. Mills Co is almost complete but ran short of [illegible] as we did in this county. Harrison is [making?] their canvas and from what Mrs Findley tells me they are doing well. Montgomery Co I have heard nothing from. Mrs. Jenkins [illegible] do not know what she is doing there. Shelby Co is being organized and I think is in good hands and are working on the [illegible]. Guthrie Co. Mrs Bowen has been away but writes that she will get to work and make things move at once.
