home. So it will not be long before you will see him, as his time is so short. Our Regt. has 15 months more to serve yet. I hope this war will be over long before this time shall come to pass. Our time is long enough to see a great deal of hard service yet. So I will content myself the best I know how, and let each day provide for itself. I shall endeavor to do my duty as a Soldier and a Christian under what ever circumstance I may be plaiced. Yet I feel unworthy to be called one of Gods Chilldren. But I know I must not go by feeling. If I only do my part, God will do his. This I have been trying to do in my weak way and maner, for a number of years. And by the help of my heavenly Father I will evry try and so live. Surly he has been very good to me. and I Praise him for it
