decided to wear my new dress & hat instead, however. I'll have long enough in a uniform anyway. The lists were posted of the assignments of those of us who took the Basic course. I'm still Hospital Recreation overseas and will clear from here to go to my two weeks training assignment Monday the 15th. I wonder where it will be; many of the folks are going quite a distance for the 2 weeks. It's just a gorgeous day--so warm I have all the windows open. There is a smoky haze & the trees are still lovely. There hasn't been a frost, so some trees are green as ever & the cannas and salvia are beautiful. The party Friday night went off well. My committee fed 160 people, made 6 bar maids aprons & bead bows & decorated the whole stage for $12.89. We were allowed $14.00 for it, so felt we did well.
