I went to this in the gym where just the night before we had served our refreshments from a bar on the stage! Mrs. R. talked about the Pacific Islands she visited & what the Red Cross girls were doing there, Final Assembly of Class of 92 November 6, 1943 1. Presentation of Colors - Camp Service 2. Buglers - Cpl. B. Simmons Cpl. R. Willingham - Fort Myer 3. Pledge to the Flag 4. National Anthem - Ogden Goellet - Leader Ruth Frederick - Pianist 5. Invocation - The Reverend Edward G. Latch, Pastor Metropolitan Memorial Church (Remain standing until colors are placed) 6. ARC Hymn 7. Address - Mrs. Franklin D. Roosevelt (she gave a very good talk; I think she is a darling 8. Solo - The Lord's Prayer - Michel Matisse 9. Retirement of the Colors Presiding - for the Assembly, Mr. Ferdinand V. Grayson, Chief, Personnel Training Unit, SAF A.R.C. Hymn Lift your voices loud and strong To a service that we love. Oh, her standards are high, For her faith men will die She's our Mother and we belong To a cause that must be free, To a trust that cannot die, Here I pledge my life Through both peace and strife To the A.
