2 English speaker & then there were movies on England & the war. We visited & then went our ways. She had a red eye as the result of sweeping plaster off a basement wall into it. She invited me tentatively for Christmas if they decide to have a dinner & if I'm here. She has been perfectly lovely to me and I enjoy her a lot. It was very interesting to see Constitution Hall. It was almost full - about 2 thousand people, I'd say. Today Mary Bess Doty fell heir to two tickets to Walter Hampton in "The Patriots", so we went. It was at the National Theater & was very good. Julie Haydon played Jefferson's daughter, Walter Hampton played Jefferson--but I'll enclose the play bill & you can see for yourself. Monday night I have organized a get-together dinner for those of our Basic Recreation class who are now in town. All I've phoned have sounded so pleased that I'm glad the notion struck me.
