To: Mr. Dave Elder 6/0 Journal Office Washington, Iowa Dec. 10, 1944 France Dear Dave, Just got back to France and got a lot of mail from home. Also I got the paper from you and your v mail with Pens address in it. I was up in Brussels Belgium and it snowed the other night there. I am getting along just fine and am serving all of Europe, I mean every foot of it. Anyway it seems like it. How is everything coming along at home. I'll bet it has gotten pretty cold there by this time. I will have to make this letter short as I am pressed for time. Also you will have to excuse writing as you can't imagine how fast I am writing today. So long till next time. As ever Forrest Sgt F. Mitchell Co C. 381st M.P. Co APO 512
