[letterhead] the boys are coming back, there aren't very many re-enlisting. I can't say as I blame them. Just between you and I, as stinking and political as this army is today, a lot of changes are going to have to be made, and a little democracy introduced into the army policy before anyone who has served in it will ever consider voluntary enlistment. I think all the boys will agree with me. If the War Dept wants a real peacetime army, made up of men who have a little vision and forsight, then a policy should be adopted that would attract people of the proper caliber. Dale [Fuhr?] is out here again. He returned from Alaska Xmas day. He and I have stuck
