Okinawa, Island. May 16, 1945. Dear Sir; I just finished reading one of your copies of the "Scuttlebutt" and I enjoyed it immensely. You see; By mere chance I ran into my old friend Lt. Robert Porter whom I hand't saw for nearly 4 years. He suggested that I write to you to receive the Scuttlebutt. I, being a local Washington boy, would like to know where all the guys and gals are located. I have been over-sea's going on 3 years now and Bob is the first fellow I have met from back home.
