Truax Field Madison 7, Wisconsin 19 May, 1945 Dear Dave, I'm just writing a short note to let you know a change of address, I'm now at Madison, Wisconsin. It's not as good a field as Sioux Falls, but the town is pretty nice. The University provides pretty good entertainment for the service men here. I enjoyed quite a thrill today, I for the first time saw Bob Feller & Walker Cooper play baseball. They (Great Lakes) beat Truax Field 4 to 1. I see by the Scuttlebutt I've caused a little voicing of opinions as to the branches of the service. Believe me I'm well aware of the fact that no one branch can win a war without the other. It takes them all. As Dick Marshall said the Infantry doesn't get the due credit, I know because I had a brother in that too. And from his letters I know they do plenty. Dave I don't know whether or not you are sending a Scuttlebutt
