Saving...
3 If my writing isn't too coherent, you'll have to blame it on a frightfully chatty roommate. She is supposed to be writing letters, too, bless her. Another of the girls is reading bits of C/O Postmaster aloud to me from the other room, and the third keeps wanting to know things about making out a voucher. I suppose you have my letter in which I suggested sending the other picture to Uncle Jap. Be sure that Mrs. Reardon is vague but correct in her information, as too much Red Cross detail wouldn't be a good idea. The branch I'm in is all right, where I went to training courses and the fact that we have domestic practice before going over. There shouldn't be anything about the immediacy or non-immediacy of my departure. It's too bad the Harrows money had to come back, as the investment seemed better. I wonder if it was Blanche who caused in; seems likely as long as Mary wrote you. I'm glad the Scouts and Bessie, the hedge burner, aren't the only ones who set forest fires. Too bad for the woods, though. Why did Izzy's present go to San Francisco? I wrote her a note and a note to Betty Haas today. I'm getting caught up. Love, Helen
