3 My Basic class was #7. It was the orientation that was #93. The orientation started every week and began many months ago. The Basic started every two weeks and began to be offered just this summer. I think I was very lucky to get it when I did. It was late enough so that the course was well worked out and early enough so that we could do outdoor sports and so that all the good instructors were still there. They started leaving for overseas work themselves about the time we left. I'm glad Roberta sent the seeds. She had the vine on a fence, & it was lovely. That clipping about the Wacs in England was very interesting. Sounds good, doesn't it! Just imagine having to round up 8 pts. a day for Buff! I guess it was a good thing we lost him when we did. Julia's cats live on horse meat, liver, etc. Very little fish and no milk, I should judge. She said they (the family) had used canned milk for 7 years and thought it so odd we drank fresh milk. Maybe they got the habit where they weren't sure of the milk's purity. The crystal trays sound swell for summer lunches, and how cheap they were! I'll be anxious to see them.
