[Jan. 11, 1944] Tuesday night Dear Mother I got your package, your letter, one from Roberta, one from Marg, one from Hillie and one from Julia today. The cookies & candy were most appreciated. The cookies lasted 7 minutes and the candy is all gone by now. They called today & asked me to report at Walter Reed hospital tomorrow for a few days. I hope it means they want me to get back in practice before starting out. It will be a shock to be working again, but will be good for me. I am delighted that it is Walter Reed, as I always wanted to go out there. Love, Helen
